The objective of the Medial Assistant Diploma program is to prepare the
student for employment in the dual (clinical/clerical) role of a Medical
Assistant. To enable the student to become a valuable asset to the
allied-health team in a health facility. To encourage the student to be
constantly aware of the importance of continuing their education on a daily
basis for the safety and welfare of their patients. To prepare the student
for entry-level employment in these and other positions: Medical Assistant,
EKG Technician, Clinical Technician, Orderly, Medical Secretary, Medical
Data Entry Specialist, Medical Transcriptionist, Records/Insurance Clerk,
and Medical Office Business Manager.
Medical Assistants qualify to take the Phlebotomy Registry (AMT), EKG
Certification (NAHP), and hold certifications in First Aid and CPR. Each
credit accepted for full credit towards the Associate Degree in Medical
Assistant.TO EARN A DIPLOMA IN
